Prof. Tatsuo Itoh, has been elected to the prestigious National Academy of Engineering (NAE) -- one of the highest professional distinctions accorded engineers, in recognition of his role in electromagnetic engineering for microwave and wireless components, circuits, and systems.

Professor Shigeo Kawasaki of Tokai University in Japan (Ph.D. from UCLA in 1993) was just elected as a member of Administrative Committee of IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society. This committee consists of 21 elected members and administers the technical, administrative financial operations of the society with membership exceeding 13,000 worldwide.
